You may or may not know too much about our founder, Mirella Manelli, just yet. Well, that is about to change!
Hey! Friendly Wave 👋🏼

I'm Mirella, and I'm an educator and salon coach for hairstylists like you who are looking to learn more about the business side of hair & beauty.
I started out my career in a traditional booth rent salon bringing in $75,000 in revenue my first year at just 18 years old. But like most stylists, I blew it all on clothes, shoes, and going to the club 😆 I had no idea how to manage my money, understand my profit margins, or how to make my money work for me.
Taxes! What’s that?

Beauty School cira 1999
Each year I was a slave to my weekly hair schedule, taking clients that I didn’t want, working late nights, and never taking a Saturday off.
Fast forward to after I fell in love, got married, moved to Alaska and back to California (where I’m originally from) and had my first baby… I needed a “secure” job.
I was hired on as a Salon Manager for a new and growing company on the west coast, ULTA Beauty. I started at the Huntington Beach location and opened, staffed, and trained employees of all levels on salon operations in the Orange County area.
I grew my salon team to be one of the top 5 salons in the entire company, winning me the Club of Excellence award. I felt proud but not entirely happy.

Ulta Club of Excellence
I was yearning for more out of my career at Ulta of 9 years. Education was calling my name. I applied THREE times to become a Regional Education Manager for Kenra Professional. It wasn’t the easiest decision though!
I had it good at ULTA! A solid team, 2k a week clientele, paid holidays and vacations, health insurance, and bonus points: my salon was around the corner from my house making my morning commute less than 5 minutes!
Taking on this new job would require me to travel on a plane each week and challenge me personally and professionally. Heck, I had two small boys. Who is going to watch them?
I knew that not taking this job would mean I would continue to do the same ‘ol salon manager role, day after day, and I would never fulfill my career goal of becoming an educator.
I needed to make a change! And my family adjusted.

During my time at Kenra Professional, I explored new talents, partnered with the brand team for product development, and found a passion for social media marketing. Traveling to each salon opened my eyes to how most hairstylists and salons operate. Money in and money out. It was like seeing 18-year-old me all over again!
Hey, Salon Owner! Where’s your P&L?
Taking on this new role as an Education Manager made me understand how the game was really played by the most talented leaders in the business. Most of them are men, BTW.

2017 Behind the Chair One Shot Award
Everything thing I had learned to this point: being independent, building teams at a commission salon, working on set for an ad campaign, and learning how to market my educational classes on Instagram, made me realize I was ready for my next adventure.
Entrepreneurship!
I took all those foundational concepts and applied them to acquire my first business, a hair salon. I quickly went from 0 to 5 businesses and 7 figures in income by becoming a course creator, influencer, and cash investor.
I’m by no means the smartest, but I am perhaps the most willing to share what I’ve learned with other people willing to listen.
My education has helped thousands of hairstylists grow their skills and income, and create new revenue streams over the past 5 years.
Here’s the goal:
✔️ Learn how to save time
✔️ Learn how to make money work for you
✔️ Learn how to hit your first $100,000, then $500,000, then $1,000,000.
If you’re still reading this, I’m so glad you’re here! It means that you are ready to open your mind and change the way you handle your beauty biz.
See you in the newsletter,
